Taste with your nose.
New tools for imbibing.
Bombay Sapphire gin is one of the few gins that uses the unique Carterhead stills for distillation. Unlike many other gins, which boil their botanicals directly in the spirit to achieve their taste, the 10 botanicals in Bombay Sapphire are held separate from the spirit in a perforated copper basket. The Carterhead stills remove any last impurities in the spirit vapour before it passes up through the basket and in a process known as vapour infusion it is delicately infused with the aromatic flavors of the botanicals.
Inspired by this vapour infusion process, the Spirit Glass offers the user more than mere taste. Designed with an internal stem to hold a variety of botanicals within the glass, the resulting olfactory experience mimics the process of distillation but also creates a scent experience before any liquid even touches the lips. By enhancing the consumer’s Bombay experience through not only taste and sight, but also smell, more senses are stimulated and a more profound consumer interaction results. The glass likewise rests in a separate vase to symbolize the act of planting, recalling the natural materials placed within.
